REAL REASON POPE RESIGNED

i know you probably have already heard the news that as of 28th of February, pope Benedict XVI will step down as pope. Well, my sources in the Vatican have hinted that he was not pressured to resign by ill health (he has been suffering from rheumatism), but due to the fact that he felt that he was no more able to cope with the physical and mental stress of heading the papacy.

Today, he said, the nature of the pope’s job had changed.  “In today’s world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith…both strength of mind and body are necessary” – strength which he no longer possessed.
