Former Governor of Oyo state, Alhaji Lamidi (Lam) Adeshina died this morning in his home in Ibadan. Lam Adeshina, was a former school teacher who rose to prominence when he won the 1999 governorship elections in Oyo state.
Tributes have poured in from different quarters including president Jonathan, who described him as a strong advocate of democracy.
He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
