It has been confirmed that the Chief of Aluu community in Rivers State, in whose domain the four students were killed, has been arrested by men of the Nigeria Police force. it will be recalled that the same Chief had given his blessings to the youths of the community and had reportedly ordered that they be thoroughly beaten to a pulp and killed in the most grievous manner.
also arrested were 13 youths of the community who were thought to have taken part in the dastardly act.
there has been a mass exodus from Aluu as people are fleeing the area in droves.
in my opinion, the perpetrators of this act should not be left unpunished.
