SOMETHING ODD ABOUT EAGLES RECEPTION

Earlier this evening, a the super eagles winning team were hosted to a banquet by the President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. The players were each awarded the sum of 5million nairaa, a land in Abuja, and National honours. In addition, they were also feted with cash prizes from eminent Nigerians including Dangote and Tony Elumelu.
     However, my beef started when I saw the way the trophy was carelessly handled. it was placed on a guests table along with wines, peppersoup and bottled water. While the lusty guests ogled the sultry dancers from the northern and eastern parts of the country, pleasantries were exchanged, while the Golden cup just sat there unattended. I mean like, dudes...seriously, show some respect. These boys worked for that cup.

Anyway, i say congrats to Stephen Keshi CON and his team of MFRs. hope to see the world cup in Nigeria soon.
