According to Thisday, the kidnappers of the Finance Minister's mother
have spoken to her eldest son. One of the demands they made was that,
the minister should resign, but later changed their mind and said they
should pay a ransom of N200m before the old woman would be released. It
was also learnt that, Madam Iweala wanted to travel home, but the Delta
State Government warned against that.
